Aviation insurance is highly specialized, as it is an expensive insurance policy that is subject to market fluctuations, including loss frequency.

The employees of Consello ehf have extensive experience in all insurance related to air transport. This experience is particularly evident in Guðmundur Hafsteinsson, who has worked in aviation insurance here at home and abroad for more than three decades. Guðmundur has handled aviation insurance for foreign airlines and has direct contact with major markets, such as Lloyd's market in London.

A very large proportion of private aircraft in Iceland are insured through Consello.

Consello has handled insurance consulting, insurance brokerage and tenders for, among others, the Icelandic Coast Guard, Erni Airlines and other air carriers. Consello has also worked for Isavia ohf and the fuel handling of the oil companies at Keflavík Airport, EAK hf.
